Jackie Zysk 'what'

$0.00
NFS

what, Gouache on paper, 3.5x5 in.

Artist Statement

I reclaim images, trauma, color, and materials as a way of addressing my influences and personal history. My work is often materially ambiguous and can exist differently as images and objects - abstractions in both concept and composition. Designed to expose conversations as much as hide them, my works are contradictions.

Artist Bio

Jackie has previously described herself as an illustrator, a printmaker, and a thing maker. She earned her BFA from Sage College of Albany and her MFA from the State University of New York at Albany. A native of the Mohawk Valley, she currently lives and works in the New York Capital Region.
