Ally DeRusso 'Garden Myths'

$0.00
NFS

Garden Myths, archival inkjet print, framed: 18 X 18 inches, 2021.

Artist Statement

Garden Myths is from a body of work exploring the false entrance into a childhood world that ceases to exist. I continue to feel tethered to this imaginary world, forever connected by a thread, and have the desire to revisit. The result is a secondary imaginary world distorted by the passage of time, clogged by shifting memories, and disconnected by experience.

Artist Bio

Ally DeRusso is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Upstate New York. She received her BFA in Printmaking and Photography and a minor in Art History in May 2021 from The College of Saint Rose. In 2020, DeRusso was a recipient of the Undergraduate Summer Research Grant. DeRusso interned at The Center for Photography at Woodstock in the Fall of 2020.
