Jennifer Hunold 'Six Fires'

$0.00
NFS

Drawer 2- Six Fires (boundaries), colored pencil on mylar, 8.5" x 11", 2018

Artist Statement

My drawings are informed by observations of small components within larger systems, both natural and man-made. They are comprised of layers each with a discrete history. Meditative, detailed marks and colors accumulate within the image through a responsive and reactive conversation. Each element presses against or upon one another as they jockey to fill the void and form a new world in which disparate experiences create a new scene.

Artist Bio

Jennifer Hunold earned her MFA from University at Albany (SUNY) in 2009 and BFA from the University of Iowa in 2005 and has shown her work across the U.S. Living in upstate New York since 2006, the former Iowan draws inspiration from the region’s rocky and lush environment, its historic residential and industrial architecture, and its vibrant urban communities. In addition to making her work and writing, Jennifer works in marketing and advertising.
